Diana Palmer, ATC joins Prevail Conditioning Performance Center!

We are extremely excited to announce a new member of the Prevail Conditioning team. Diana Palmer has been serving as the Head Athletic Trainer at Westmont College in Santa Barbara for 20 years and is now moving into the private sector full time through Hayashida and Associates Physical Therapy Clinic. Diana adds a tremendous value for our clientele (athletes and non-athletes alike) as her focus and expertise will be assessment and injury prevention as well as rehab post injury.

Bio:
Diana Palmer has served as Head Athletic Trainer and Assistant Professor of Kinesiology at Westmont College for 20 years. She oversees all facets of the Sports Medicine Clinic. Diana also serves as athletic trainer and massage tech for the USA National Triathlon teams and the International Triathlon Union Sport Development Program. She has worked with professional and USA Cycling Programs as a Certified Athletic Trainer, massage tech and soigneur since 2001, serves at a medical consultant for the US Women’s Cycling Development Program. Diana was on the USA medical staff for the 2003 and 2007 Pan American Games, and the 2008 Beijing Olympics. While in Beijing she was involved in the medical coverage, injury treatment, and rehabilitation program design for multiple sports.

Palmer has worked at the Kona IronMan events as well as served as the athletic trainer for the AVP volleyball tournament in Santa Barbara. She has been employed as the medical director for the Santa Barbara Polo Club for the last 16 years as well as being the Medical Director for the 1998 Federation of International Polo World Championships.

Palmer’s undergraduate degrees are in physical education and psychology. She attained her Master’s Degree at the University of Oregon, and attained her massage training and Emergency Medical Technician schooling in Santa Barbara.
